What is a Relative Child Care Provider?
Parents can make child care arrangements on their own with a relative of the child. This is called Relative Child Care.

Family members that may be eligible as a Relative Provider include the child’s great grand parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle or sibling. All Relative Child Care Providers must be at least eighteen years of age. Workforce Solutions will approve the eligibility of all Relative Child care Providers. Payments will only be made after being properly authorized by Workforce Solutions.

What do relative child care providers have to submit for billing?

Relative child care providers now bill Workforce Solutions via phone-based or web-based billing for services rendered.  A relative provider must contact Workforce Solutions Financial Aid Payment Office in order to receive training on the billing methods.  Providers choosing web-base billing receive a training manual and must complete the following documents for access to the system:

Provider User Permission form Security Agreement (provider receives this form after Workforce Solutions processes the provider user permission form)

Upon completion of the training, providers are given access to the child care billing system.
